Toddler Flashcards App Reviews

WAS perfect... Not anymore...

Since the last may 2013 update, the voice they use for the French cards is HORRIBLE, making the words almost impossible to recognize... If the goal is to learn to speak and pronounce in French for the kids with this app, it is now completely out of use for the French language... Why this change??? I have had this app for years, and the French voice had always been perfect! Now they took someone who cant speak French to record all the words! Please put back the old REAL French words...

Fragile

Easily hang.

Some sounds load separately after the game is installed, most of them didnt load, other languages have no sound... And im not sure how to load the rest of sounds, but other than that the idea is great, I am waiting for updates that would really fix the sound problem

Keeps using other languages

I purchased the full English version and its keeps trying to get us to buy Arabic instead of letting us use the version we paid for. My daughter really wants to play with this app but I cant seem to fix it! Please fix because I paid for this app and I shouldnt have this issue

Just one big problem about French Course

The voices of French Course is VERY LOW Why Why Why You Should Fix It Please we want high voices Just Like the English Course and please make chick of the voices of the other languages too and make upgrades and updates to make the App more useful thank you So much

My 16 month old loves it.

This is about the only thing that causes my very active 16 month old to sit still. He loves to climb into my lap and play this making it worth every penny. Hes already learned how to swipe to new cards and tap to replay them. He laughs and tries to imitate many of the animal sounds. The pictures look great and the voice is nice and clear. It would be nice to be able to add my own pictures with text (say, family members, pets, etc).

Not paced well

The app does not respond well to a toddler randomly touching the screen at a fast rate (2-3 taps/second). It immediately starts saying the word or moving to the next object before finishing saying the previous word or displaying an object for a reasonable time. Images are of C+ (on iPad) quality. Good variety of pictures.

No sound except on a few

No sound except on a few random pictures. Not worth it.

Happy mommy!

Love this app! My almost 2year old daughter loves this app and has loved it for the past 8months. I have no complaints. Its awesome on the iPad. My 4month old daughter will be playing with this very soon and Im sure she will love it too.

One of the best apps for Toddlers

very well done app, Toddler Flashcards is the perfect replacement for the cardboard cards that most parents use to teach their children basic words. It has beautiful pictures, and a mothers voice to speak the words, and support for multiple languages. I consider this a must-buy for parents. Its way cheaper than getting regular flashcards

Poorly designed language feature

Should be able to switch languages on any card easily. Instead you have to return to the menu, change languages, then the card is gone and you have to start over.

Great app - just one more feature, please!!

I am a speech-language pathologist and I use this app a lot to work with minimally verbal children who are just starting to develop a basic vocabulary. It would be SOOOO HELPFUL to have a feature where I can choose only specific pictures to look at. For example, I would love to be able to create a folder of ten pictures from just the "objects" category, or even better, ten pictures from across more than one category. Thanks for considering this

The language choices

You can play this app with four different language choices. That makes this such a good app. Im excited because there is a lot of room for improvement, its not perfect. Try to incorporate some ideas from the "Sound Touch" app. I gave it five stars because it is such a good idea to have the language choices.

Wonderful!

My 23 month old daughter loves this application. I recommend anyone with a child 18-36 months use this app.

Excellent!

I fired up this app and sat down with my son and he loved flipping through the pictures and calling out the names of everything. What I really like is that it is a series of flash cards with hi-resolution pictures of real objects with large, easy-to-read words for each object. This app looks and works great on the iPad 2. For the price its very nice; youd likely pay more for actual cards from the store. Hopefully more "cards" will be added in the future, but right now it contains all of the essentials. I highly recommend this app, so long as you enjoy sitting with your children for a bit of supervised learning. My son is only 22 months and has known his ABCs for a long time now. These types of apps will help lead him into reading sentences very soon.

Great app!!!

I love love love this app. My family an I were at the produce section in the store and my 2yr old pointed and said daddy thats an avacado. My hubbie didnt even know what that was before she said that :)

Sound stopped working after 5 minutes of use

Looked like app was going to be good but all sound stopped after about 5 minutes. Tried toggling sound on and off but no luck. Kind of a major bug.

Need more cards

Love the different languages but need more of them!

Great app! Mommy and baby love this app!!

This is a great app!! Definitely a great purchase!!

No Sound

I was very excited to purchase this app however was very disappointed when there was no sound! I would like a refund this is ridiculous!
